just call dievca the “Brown Wren” — staying toasty

dievca may be a plain brown bird with an effervescent personality in her “go to” – “God, it’s cold” outfit.

The House Wren is a common backyard bird over nearly the entire Western Hemisphere. Listen for its rush-and-jumble song in summer and you’ll find this species zipping through shrubs and low tree branches, snatching at insects. House Wrens will gladly use nest boxes, or you may find their twig-filled nests in old cans, boots, or boxes lying around in your garage.

Hmmm– a practical bird for a practical dievca.

life happens and you get cold…your way, dievca, is a much more stylish response than my jcrew puffy jacket! i hate the suburbs 😦

Don’t feel bad. I showed my puffy in the last “staying toasty” post. The only problem with this outfit is that if you walk the City — from your knees to your skirt hem gets really cold and numb. Needles. Short walks are fine.

  3. I too fell for the gloves–and to save the needles feeling, let’s zoom around town in a red Porsche…were it summer, I’d suggest a convertible of any make, but one must be practical, sometimes. Love brown, versatile for all skin tones, loves gold and silver, and craves pairing with color!

I am in! Could you be persuaded to use a Mustang convertible or is that too trite? I have access to one. XO We can put on our sunglasses and “Grace Kelly” scarves — but no references to “Thelma and Louise”, please, too depressing.

      • For you Dievca, yes, find the keys. Shall we hire a strong, young driver or just take the town on our own? Scarves, please. Glasses on. Agree on T&L; the only cliff I want to go off is the edge of the one I’m driven to by the sweet, sweet touch of his hand. Ooooooh Yes. Perfect plan for a Friday.

That buckle bracelet was my Mother’s from the 70’s. I found a matching collar and earrings – interesting, huh? The other bracelet was a gift from a friend.
Coach classics (vintage) never go out of style. Nice bag~ XO

I’ve never imagined you as a “plain brown bird” and this delicious selection of camels and chocolates only confirms it!

Thank you. I can keep it under control when I keep an outfit simple. I always seem to lose it when I want to try something fancy. This clothing issue may be a metaphor for my life~
      Enjoy the sun for me!
