Joy Williams designs and manufactures exclusive and unique fashion-forward latex rubber wear. Specialising in bold, contemporary designs, Joy’s work shies from the stereotypical, utilising traditional and pioneering techniques to create exquisitely embellished pieces.

It is this craft aesthetic that has allowed Joy to develop an individual style in the latex fashion world – one that builds on structure and texture. Pieces from Joy’s 2010/11 collection take inspiration from 17th century Damascus glass with clean architectural silhouettes, applique and laser cut.

The 2011/12 collection takes this textural journey further, borrowing streamline, Deco geometry and translating it through quilting and paneling. Her most recent pieces are adorned with sensual and tactile Art Nouveau embossing.

A proud Northerner, Joy graduated from the Cambridge School of Art in 2010 and is now based in Brighton, Sussex.

Master is home and dievca would like to pull out some Latex for a change. dievca has a simple Latex black tank dress, an olive Latex Pencil skirt and black Latex Hobble skirt. Now, might be the time to get a hand painted bespoke piece of Latex? Si? Before it gets too warm to wear it.  Joy Williams Latex Design is on Etsy and is Divine!

They look so intricate and latex can be delicate to put on or wear unless it is a thicker gauge. Her Etsy store isn’t offering as much, right now. Hmmmm~

looked in her shop, liked her geometric striped cocktail dress. i don’t have a smooth shape, so very clingy would only emphasize it, so would have to do select single pieces…but so wish i could pull the look off. you should do it before it gets too hot. going up to the eighties today & tomorrow. hurry up dievca! xx

My experiences with latex are…if the gauge is thick enough, it sucks everything in and you end up with a smooth finish! Unexpected, but fabulous. 🙂

  4. Fine outfit to be theatrical but heavy and sweaty (pardon) perhaps. I like the shiny patterns though which could be realzed only this way it seems. : )

Powder might be a good choice — I had a spot of trouble when I used the “shine/lube” that was recommend, the first time. (The first “dievca disaster” post…) XO
      Enjoy the Holiday.

I never saw any latex that really turned me on, but this is a beautiful collection. Yes, hot and sweaty so good for wearing temporarily…maybe.
