Something that throws dievca back into past summers. Time to open the car windows while driving the back roads and have the Beach Boys roaring out of the sound system.

My first concert ever was Beach Boys! (My second was Blue Oyster Cult/Black Sabbath LOL, steep learning curve) and yes summer is definitely here in town.. Sunroof open, windows down, hemlines up, sunglasses on, rolling around listening to Tom Petty the other day. Big smile. Enjoy your road trip.

Hmmmm — I get the Beach Boys. Where on Earth did BOC/Sabbath come into play – Opera Girl?
Or are we just missing Classic Rock and Alternative in your genre familiarity? but you hit BeBop and Heavy Metal in your travels?

Boyfriend at the time snuck me out of the house. It was culture shock. No way I could play any of that at my house.. Joan Baez maybe…. I never bought any of their records but I remember being a little scared when “iron Man” started.. LOLOL I was probably wearing a Lilly skirt and Papagallo’s…way to rock on Peep…

      • dievca says:

        Uhhh Peep.
I think the D/s (M/s) would rolls some bodies over in their graves.

  2. Long winding roads and short, adventurous detours…oh, summer…Carry On, then!

That sounds like bliss! Happy 1st day of summer. Love the Beach Boys, but I also listened to a lot of heavy metal and acid rock (older bros). My 1st concert was Rush.

    • dievca says:

Uhhh — you are never going to believe this….1st concert – Genesis. 2nd concert – RUSH! Rosemont Horizon.
Then did the standard summer offerings: Beach Boys, Santana, Jimmy Buffett, etc.
      Poplar Creek
NEVER did the first concert of the Summer at Alpine Valley, WI.
Grateful Dead. Everyone would bring me tye-dye t-shirts and friendship bracelets back.

      • hispetitelle says:

Of all the bands I saw, never saw TGD. I loved Rush. Didn’t see Genesis but I saw Phil Collins when he was the drummer during Robert Plant’s first solo tour.

  5. Oh was that the vintage car day? Which scarf did you wear? xxx

    • dievca says:

We had trouble get the vintage car and just went with a convertible. I wore with the Paul Smith Polka Dot Scarf and a simple denim/modal dress, sandals, crossbody bag and big sunglasses (Chloe). The scarf was very good with my coloring. XO
