Obsessing…a little. A Collar.

And a better view on the Colbert Report:
OK – dievca is well aware that it resembles Sid Vicious’ lock/chain necklace. Bad Karma?
And everyone (and their brother) has done a padlock choker:
It doesn’t matter…dievca is still obsessing about Chrissie Hynde’s Collar. The chain is extra thick, the padlock looks solid and it might be sterling silver. Seriously expensive — something worthy to obsess about, ya know, just for fun.
dievca would look…
(wait for it)

Stella McCartney or Tiffany for me! Not sure I can be “rockin”, I’ll settle for “edgy” LOL

It’s one of those things you see quickly, it catches your eye and then you keep thinking about it. Silly, really…but fun when you go on the quest to find it. Most likely, M. would put it on me and I (or He) would hate it. 😀

I bet that with your sense of style you could make it work

That Chanel is far too big, if you turn around too quickly you would take someone’s eye out

You could take someone’s eye out! Could that be a Chav thing?

Mmm not really, more punk rock than chav. Chavs and the hip hop scene have allot of cross over, so that is a good place to look.

The Rodarte lock is such a disappointment on that studded linkage… but is still my fave. That being said, I think you rock the lock look– just wear black.

Some gorgeous and fun bling on that Rodarte Chain. I wish it didn’t have the lobster claw clasp — just sticking a padlock on it randomly like a charm bracelet, kills the fun.
I like the idea of a tough raw necklace with a very ladylike ensemble. 🙂

I like a bit of rocker syle. Saw a woman with a heart shaped padlock collar last night at the sub meeting, but I think I like Chrissie Hynde’s cool vibe collar.

I’m always leery of wearing hearts that you can identify the shape, immediately. I don’t know why — maybe it reminds me of being a child wearing a white turtleneck with little red hearts on it. XO
I think we both need to channel the Rocker vibe.
Chrissie Hynde is 63 — I hope I look that good at 63~

I’m feeling her vibe right now. I also hope to be that cool at 63.
I had a red knit turtleneck with a big white heart on the chest. I can’t wear turtlenecks, but I’m OK with hearts. What kind of heart is not obviously a heart?

i use a vintage style heart padlock clasp on this collar/necklace…it’s sterling silver that i’ve distressed and then oxidized. it can go on any chain. it’s not cutesy at all on the heavier chains 🙂 xx https://www.etsy.com/listing/174958406/holiday-sale-oxidized-sterling-silver?ref=shop_home_active_21

I still don’t like heart padlocks — it’s not for me.
They would probably make someone else very happy, though.

I’d go for the McCartney one, that Chanel is just way out of the line, haha!

That Stella McCartney necklace is clean lines and lovely. The Chanel? Well, it’s a statement piece, I guess! I always wonder who would buy it.

Chrissie has always had that “I’m very cool” androgynous, rocker-chick vibe that she wears so well. The necktie just feeds into that appeal. I am always fascinated that she is from a small town in Ohio and her band is in England. (Shirley Manson from Garbage fascinates me for the opposite reason – she’s from Scotland and her band is from Wisconsin…)
The Stella McCartney necklace is lovely.
