dievca is surrounded.
she is surrounded by people who have that little je ne sais quoi when it comes to dressing up. It is such a pleasure to see her colleagues (yes, both sexes) dressed up for an Event. Of course, there is the exception of a few people who cannot carry it – but they are trying.
You have to applaud a good effort.
The best part is that no one is trying to dress like each other, no one is killing themselves to follow fashion — dievca sees vintage pieces, expensive pieces, cheap pieces, seriousness, absurdity, quirky, etc. It’s the variety and scope that makes people watching a joy. It is also the appreciation of presentation that is shared. The group takes the time to offer a sincere complement for an excellent offering.
So, as the Gala season continues and dievca starts to complain and fade, remind her that it is an absolute treat to see her contemporaries dress up and that should force her onward without too much fuss.
PS. It has been noted by dievca that some fabulous je ne sais quoi is shared by people she visits in the blog world, too. Their sharing is a small treat for the day. Love it and Thank You. XO
