As the light of the full Moon spills into the room are you planning to dance and serve your Sir under its gentle light? Make a wish, dream a dream and the Blue Moon will guide your way.

XO dievca

Originally, a Blue Moon was defined as the third of four full moons in a single season. More recently, people have defined a Blue Moon as the second of two full moons in a single calendar month.

So, if a full moon occurs early in a longer month – there is a chance for a Blue Moon to appear.   It happens every 2-3 years.

Today’s Blue Moon is set to occur at July 31, 2015 – 06:43 am (EDT) for NYC.

When was the last Blue Moon, according to the monthly definition?  August 31, 2012.

Let dievca offer some music to dance by — not the most famous version of the song, but the original:

VIDEO: ♥ Blue Moon (original Al Bowlly, 1936)

Blue Moon, you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

Blue Moon, you knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for

And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will ever hold
I heard somebody whisper, ‘Please adore me’
And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold

Blue Moon, now I’m no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

  1. Thank you! I’m already dancing at lunch time 🙂 Let’s see how it will appear in Brussels, at the moment the sky is fairly clear, but it changes hourly, the Brussels’ famous weather…
