Sometimes a Master has to standout…layering with PATAGONIA.

Master was sick this year….very sick. He has healed – 100%.

From being sick, he lost weight and has kept it off. Why does His dievca mention this? The weight loss has changed His internal core temperature. Master was always warm, but now the windows get closed…. and clothing needs to be layered.

With that in mind, Master’s dievca was thinking about His closet for the changes for Autumn and Winter. she knows that Master will resist trying new things — but He will wear something if it is within reach. (Read – convenient.)

So, dievca took it upon herself  to find some layers…

Fleece vest Navydievca noticed that Master is wearing an outdoor vest quite a bit as a layer. This vest was hidden in the back of the closet for 3 years…. it is now in rotation.  The vest will not be enough as the weather changes.

One item which Master has never owned is a down layer, so dievca knew where to starting looking, at Patagonia.

Why, Patagonia?

  1. Because dievca wears Patagonia quite a bit and she knows the quality is excellent.

  2. Because Patagonia was having a 50% off sale.

As with any sale — you have to be flexible and buy what is available. The colors: Black, Grey, Navy (Master’s comfort zone) will always sell out first — you are left with the brighter colors.  Though dievca knows and understands that Master wants to fade into to the background, allowing His dievca to shine — she also knows that Master might be safer with a bright-colored down layer to walk to the gym in the morning half-light.

she purchased two choices. One BRIGHT, one not so bright:

patagonia-Red Ultralight 83 Oz Burgundy Down Jacket

Patagonia Red Burgundy Ultralight Down Jacket

Patagonia Men's Ultralight down shirt purple

Patagonia Purple Ultralight Down Shirt

So — this weekend, Master will receive His options. dievca is curious which option He will choose:

  1. Keep the Red

  2. Keep the Purple

  3. Keep both

  4. Return both

She will let you know. 😀

PS. If you were wondering which brightly colored Patagonia layer dievca owns, here it is:

Patagonia Womens Down Sweater Jacket - Chartreuse

Patagonia Women’s Down Sweater Jacket – Chartreuse

Can’t miss her, huh! 🙂

****Update since writing the post!  Master looked ridiculous in both  jackets,  color-wise, and they were too large. He really did lose a weight~ dievca was able to return the two jackets and get Him the smaller jacket in Grey. Let’s hope He doesn’t get hit by a cab in the morning, wearing grey to the gym.****

True — and we had a good laugh. It’s so funny when someone puts an item on and it just reads “wrong”. I see men in the bright colors on the street and they looks fabulous.

yup, can’t miss dievca in that jacket! xxx how about a bright scarf to go around Master’s neck for those early morning hours? some yellows work great with gray. ❤️

Part of M.’s Christmas present, last year, was a closet clear-out. He requested it and had been avoiding it for years. Has made His Life easier. Me? I’m still working on mine. My jacket? Helps me not get hit on the bike. 😀

  4. Aha! I’m keeping notes you know… 😀
