Sorry Seems To Be the Hardest Word

In Real Life.
I don’t slow down enough to be patient.
You can’t be bothered to see all the pieces.
We don’t always work well together.

Sorry.
If you can get it out, I’ll accept.
If not, well, that’s ok.

Either way.
We’ll muddle through.
For I love you and you love me.
And that is indelible.

Lyrics
What have I got to do to make you love me?
What have I got to do to make you care?
What do I do when lightning strikes me?
And to wake to find that you’re not there

What do I do to make you want me?
What have I got to do to be heard?
What do I say when it’s all over?
And sorry seems to be the hardest word

It’s sad, so sad
It’s a sad, sad situation
And it’s getting more and more absurd

It’s sad, so sad
Why can’t we talk it over?
Oh, it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word

It’s sad, so sad
It’s a sad, sad situation
And it’s getting more and more absurd

It’s sad, so sad
Why can’t we talk it over?
Oh, it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word

What do I do to make you love me?
What have I got to do to be heard?
What do I do when lightning strikes me?
What have I got to do?
What have I got to do?
When sorry seems to be the hardest word

It’s such a loaded word, isn’t it, in today’s society? People feel they’re weak if they say it or that they’re giving in too easily, losing power..? But it’s often all it takes.
    XO!

Very true and some people use it too much. But if it is said simply, freely and sincerely — it’s powerful in itself. A grateful and graceful acceptance is best.

Or saying the word sorry leads to one feeling embarrassed also !
