Etre un bon coup

sexy-sofaAs an athlete, dievca was taught that practicing poorly just produced poor results.

she assumes that the same is true of other activities.

Consistently performing poorly in bed, does not make a better lover – right?  You have to meet a person who teaches and helps you grow to become a better lover. dievca was lucky to have Master.

But what happens when you are a good lover and you hang around someone who is not a good lover, nor open to change. They don’t want to be taught or are so frigid /frail, they cannot absorb more.

Does the company you keep drag down your skills? Do you lose your skills?

dievca always wondered~

(Etre un bon coup – While on the surface it may seem that this expression means ‘being a good hit,’ the meaning actually refers to being good in bed.)

interesting … what happens if you were a wonderful lover … and the other not… and not interested either… but you loved that person more than life itself…

An interesting question. I guess maybe you and your partner are on different ‘settings’ sexually, then you will both be unsatisfied. Despite what some ‘vanilla’ people say. Sexual compatibility DOES exist. X

I KNOW sexual compatibility exists. I lived it both ways. Like Ms. Agatha asks – what do you do when you love that person? Is it necessary for happiness in your 80’s?

excellent questions, d. Let’s define compatibility, love, desire in your “80s, compatibility..

I’m nearing 60 and after forty years together I can say that for us compatibility has been the foundation. It’s been like an anchor giving us the confidence to experiment, challenge, expose and evolve.

Looking back it seems that ‘good hit’ made us stronger in every other area of our lives and prepared us for the second half of the journey.

    Great post, dievca ❤️

  6. I think creativity is much undervalued ! 🙂

  7. I’d hate to think that one could lose their edge , but boredom could do that…
