Duper’s Delight

conversationWhat does it mean when Master ends up with his tongue pressing his cheek?  It usually happens when He and dievca are sitting on the sofa conversing for a longer period of time. He seems to be happy, content and the conversation is lively….

All-in-all, it makes dievca happy to see it.  She takes it as Master is comfortable and feeling in his element.

Let’s see what the experts say:

tongue-in-cheek-emojiThe tongue-in-cheek can have various meanings including: an alpha dominant display…

Hmmm~ we are on to something.

A tongue in cheek signal may indicate “I just won“, “I gotcha” (you were caught),sadness/grief, anger, projecting sexuality, or even deception. Noticing the other nonverbals in the “body language sentence” gives the tongue in cheek a context and thus can entirely change its meaning. Therefore when reading any article or book on nonverbal communication or listening to an “expert”, it is wise to always take this phenomenon into account.

Another take:

Tongue in cheek displays tend to be displayed one side in the context an alpha/positive scenario (e.g. sexual context, I gotcha/I just won/you were caught , an outright alpha display) and on the opposite side if the meaning is beta/negative (e.g. sadness, lying, anger). These right vs. left-sided tongue in cheek biases are idiosyncratic to the person and should be normed with this in mind.

Dr. Jack Brown

Master’s tongue is always on the right side at these times. It is when He is happy, feeling strong, controlling the conversation.
OK – dievca is going for the judgement call that the “tongue-in-cheek” move is a good thing and not a Duper’s Delight.

Since when has tongue-in-cheek indicate sadness?! X

I’ve seen a girl in my grade school chew on her tongue/put in her cheek for years – later to find that she was in an abusive home situation. That qualifies as sadness or tension…I do the tongue-in-cheek thing when I am perplexed and thinking it through. XO

NEVER thought about this. But now will not be able to help being observant….body language is such an interesting field of study. Have a great sunny day, d.

It always happens after D/s or sex, when we are in open communication mode. Makes me happy to see it because I would know that M. is feeling comfortable and pleased with Himself.
