Open House Projects Jewelry
Open House Projects jewelry is designed by Monika Wyndham in New York. Designs usually start their lives as sketches on paper and are eventually carved in wax somewhere between the Catskills and New York City. New work is often made at odd hours, and sometimes in hotels, on picnic benches, and in cars. Open House jewelry often features moving parts, pieces that fit together in satisfying ways, and design elements with utility like handmade clasps and closures. Our aim is to make design objects with integrity that feel good to wear and are nice to interact with. We respect the inimitable nature of something that is made by hand.
We are glad to work closely with family-owned businesses and skilled jewelers in New York City to take each of our designs from concept to completion. Our pieces are cast in certified recycled metals using the lost wax method
Beautiful!
