I’ve really enjoyed myself, too. The pace is low-key, yet can be elegant. The views and ability to get around, amazing. Do you have a favorite spot to suggest?

      • I have only been twice but I loved to wander around the Alfama District, soaking up the history and watching the people. And watching someone sing Fado in one of the smaller bars in Biarra Alto. And actually not in Lisbon, but Sintra is very special. But the whole place struck a deep chord with me. One of my favourite cities. And such lovely people and great seafood.

My friends and I really enjoyed our week. The apartment was in Bairro Alto and we tried to balance walking the City with taking a beer/wine and relaxing. I think we did an excellent job. I know Portugal has more to offer (Porto, seaside towns, etc.) I was so fried from work – I was into just “be-ing”. The verdict is that we will go back. I will put Sintra on the request list – Thank you!
