Female New Yorkers are boot lovers. The Men wear boots, too, but the women live in boots for 3 out of 4 seasons. The Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boot has its place in many a small NYC closet. This versatile style has a forgiving design which allows for large calves to be hugged in comfort.
SOMETHING OF USE ~ dievca has 3 pairs squished in her closet:
The 5050 style launched in 1993, and the legendary over-the-knee boot has long garnered a reputation — and a major celebrity following — for its flawless, comfortable fit and minimalist, sophisticated sensibility. With its distinctive half-and-half construction, featuring a leather or suede front and stretch fabric back, the 5050 continues to live up to the title of “icon” in a world where that word is endlessly overused; it can be paired with any style, any occasion, any genre, any decade.
Like many fashion icons, it only gets better with time. Cut to Fall 2021, Stuart Weitzman debuts a new 5050 Capsule Collection in celebration of its 35th anniversary, featuring new interpretations of this boot, designed to match whatever mood you’re in.
The aptly named 5050 HIGHSHINE dials up the glamour with more than 300 crystal embellishments hand-applied to each pair. Pearl embellishments give the look an ultra-feminine take with the 5050 LIFT PEARL. Silver-tone studs on the 5050 LIFT STUDS offer a punk vibe. The 5050 FRINGE with cascading fringe detail nods to the must-have cowboy boot trend, while the 5050 LIFT WOVEN boot ups the craftsmanship quotient with each pair taking no less than 14 hours to create using handwoven leather (no two are the same). The 5050 LIFT and the 5050 ULTRALIFT boot provide extra height to boost your strut — a 35-mm platform and 50-mm platform, respectively.
dievca is pondering if her closet can hold a fringe pair or the platform…

As an Anniversary Celebration, Master took dievca to the Metropolitan Museum to see the Costume Institute’s About Time: Fashion and Duration.
Due to COVID, rain, and it being “Member Mondays” – the Museum was amazing in its emptiness. It was a rare pleasure to wander and absorb the Art in a very leisurely manner. Something dievca and Master may never experience, again.
Another post will be coming about the offerings from the Exhibition – this blog post is about what dievca wore:
In the indigo glow before the Dawn, dievca watched the stars twinkle over the NYC skyline. she had just finished going into a deep read of an NYT Article:
As a youngster who recently reached her 50’s dievca was part of the initial target audience for the show. she has fond memories of the classics: Rubber Ducky, 5 People in My Family, etc. Apparently, people who worked on the show or were guest stars had/have some impressive resumes, which at 3 years old – one does not care about…. The catchy tune which teaches you to count? That’s an important piece.
If you are a ‘Little’, in the demographic of dievca or a parent the article above may bring you Joy to read — just give yourself some time to click through all the musical links for a fine ride.
Working towards the end of Jury Duty…moved into Week 3.

New item, on the docket for usage:
And currently trying to figure out an outfit for our Anniversary Dinner. Not too fancy….
For 5 years (WordPress Anniversary – Thank You) and I have gotten a year older.
I was trying to think what piece of lingerie do I own that makes me feel absolutely fabulous on the lingerie Thursday~ and what I would wear for you, if we were celebrating together.
Mind you, I do enjoy corsets and latex, but if I am choosing for me and not Master – I go flowy or stretchy, curve-friendly, comfortable, quirky and easy.
What is your “go to” lingerie if its your choice, not your Sir or Madame?
And the lovely item that Master bought for my additional year of Life:

The gentle sway of dievca’s breasts and hips is captivating to the crowd, but dievca looks neither right nor left. Her focus is on one person in the room, Master. His pleasure is expressed with a small smile and an extended hand for dievca to grasp as she seats herself next to him on the sofa.
The cozy nook affords some privacy for Master to run His fingers along His dievca’s shoulders and dip into the keyhole to play with her nipple. A gentle pinch causes dievca to open her eyes and she sees the waiter approaching their enclosure with two glasses of champagne. Master, lifts one glass from the tray and passes it to His dievca, He then takes the second flute for Himself.
As the waiter walks away, Master leans forward to kiss dievca and say, “Happy Anniversary, My slut, may we have many more.”Fitted three-ply silk crepe gown with high keyhole neck and dramatic cutaways at shoulders and forearms. Finished with buttoned cuffs and center-slit floor-length skirt or above the knee short skirt. Silk lined. Concealed center back zip.
