Street Style or Coach? dievca’s DIY …. leather jacket

Penguin Push Pindievca was walking down 34th Street and she saw a Black Lady in a boring dress, but with an AWESOME leather jacket over it. It looked like a vintage 1990’s Wilson’s basic Leather jacket, and the Lady put pins all over the front.

No camera for a sneak snapshot….

The NEXT day, dievca was walking down 34th Street, again, and she saw an Asian Gentleman in a simple black leather jacket (Wilson’s?) with PINS on the front. It looked amazing! dievca thought to herself, “this must be a thing!”

For the second time, dievca wasn’t able to get a snapshot…

So, dievca wanted to tell you all about the NYC street style and went looking for photos online and ran into the COACH Embellished Racer Jacket. Sigh. And here she thought those two people were being so creative.

Coach EMBELLISHED leather jacket with pins

Wait!?!?!? Maybe those people created their jackets before COACH did, or maybe not. But, they still made their own and theirs looked better than the COACH offering. Just say’n.

dievca is trying to remember if she has her Wilson’s Leather jacket anymore.
It looked something like this:

There was a Men’s version, too.

So, get out your old leather jacket and collect your pins — whatever has meaning to you or makes you smile:

Button Pins

Lapel Pins

Well, if dievca finds her old school Wilson’s Leather jacket – she knows that she has pins from her childhood….a cool jacket will be created and it won’t be a COACH (MSRP: $1995)….it will be a dievca ORIGINAL!

Since writing this post dievca visited a flea market and look what she found!!!20151122_134055_resized20151122_134114_resized
Aha! Design ideas abound!
There might be a future “It took me a year, but I completed my DIY project” post. ūüėÄ
