Wine/half a ham sandwich + internet shopping = danger

dievca escaped.

Barely.

We will talk about wine and internet shopping in more detail, later…

It was a long two days and dievca went up to the roof top to enjoy the warmer temperatures (64 F/ 18 C) after work with a bottle of wine – Lemon Hill Viognier. dievca thinks Master gave it to her – not bad.  The wind of the rooftop swept away some of the heat, so she meandered back to the apartment to finish the 2nd half of a ham sandwich.

This was not a heavy base for the wine she was drinking…

dievca has been spring cleaning, heavily and you know that she has cleared out the closets.  As a part of that process, she has thought about adding bits and pieces to her home decor.

she has a cozy Ugg Duffield throw blanket someone gave her as a gift, but maybe she needs (ok, wants) a more colorful update for summer. she doesn’t have cloth napkins in her current home color scheme. What about a pouf to sit on?

And the wine took over…

As a fan of Missoni, dievca became sucked in on Yoox, Farfetched, RueLala, Matches Fashion, eBay, Neiman Marcus searching for Home Good from the brand.  she was contemplating spending $800 at Rue LaLa for a robe, blanket and a pillow or $1000 at Yoox for a blanket, napkins, and a pouf.

she did a Google search and escaped the madness with just a tablecloth and napkins – on sale for $110, including shipping from Europe. And they are quirky enough to make her happy for Spring without breaking the bank.

This choice was made after a couple of glasses of water.
Saved…

dievca does have a Missoni robe and a couple of Missoni throws in her eBay cart. Maybe they will make more sense in the morning.

So…..have you had a bit too much to drink and bought something on the internet?
Apparently, it’s a thing~😘

The “real” McCoy

dievca saw these boxes years ago in Bergdorf Goodman (Amethyst) and then Anthropologie (multi-colored quartz). she’s been a bit obsessed since. When looking around at for the boxes, again, she ended up at the McCoy Design website and the Kathryn McCoy website….very similar products.  Not too sure what happened in that family and which one is the “real” McCoy but she does know family businesses are a challenge.  Look — dievca just wants one of the jewelry boxes, no matter who is producing it.  Sigh~

Note: Kathryn seems to have the better website and I see her name attached to this stunning Selenite Fireplace Sculpture, 30″ $6700.00 from Bergdorf’s
(click photo to purchase)

2nd Note: Looks like the McCoy Design website got a facelift since I wrote this post!
