In the Roman Catholic Church, Saint Jude is the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes. Saint Jude’s attribute is a club. He is also often shown in icons with a flame around his head.

Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, friend of Jesus, I place myself in your care at this difficult. Pray for me; help me remember that I need not face my troubles alone. Please join me in my need, asking God to send me consolation in my sorrow, courage in my fear, and healing in the midst of my suffering.
But if you want a Miracle….you pray to Saint Anthony.
You take what you can find at dievca’s Mom’s House.
Last night dievca found this:
Who on God’s Earth brought this over?
And this afternoon she found this:
A staple at a Chicago Cubs Game~
Both offerings are rough around the edges – but in a pinch, they’ll do~
dievca’s running to the Grocery store late tonight – the next visit won’t be as desperate.
PS. Her Mom is doing relatively well.
Good Morning! Have a good week.
Actually, it’s not desperate.
dievca’s Mom had a bath at Noon (it takes two people) and that wiped her out until dievca woke her at 4:55 pm. Why 4:55 pm? Because her Mom insisted that Jane Eyre would be on TV at 5:00 pm… Yes, it was on – because dievca downloaded it onto the tablet from Amazon Prime.
(dievca’s brother canceled cable TV)
dievca fed her Mom dinner and watched the 2011 version with her – good acting, but it is a sad movie.
Big Band Music to pick up the mood while getting Mom ready for bed and now dievca is seeking wine.
There is no wine to be had ~ hence the appropriate t-shirt graphic.
(Wine is on the grocery list for tomorrow.) 😉
The bodega downstairs’ attempts at a cappuccino just don’t cut it…
A bodega is a small corner store or market that sells groceries and wine. … If you visit New York City, you’ll see bodegas, little shops where people buy groceries and small items. A bodega is kind of like a convenience store such as 7-11 — it’s small and more convenient than a supermarket. http://www.vocabulary.com
