What? No, I absolutely need PT

dievca finally saw her Orthopedic Surgeon after traveling.  Apparently, she arrived at the office after a number of older, non-athletic patients.  The Doctor was thrilled with his work and dievca’s range of motion, ability to walk, etc. He didn’t think she had swelling, but he didn’t bother to look at her other knee to compare either….  When he said, “I don’t think you need Physical Therapy”, dievca nearly jacked him up against the wall.

(Side note: we all know dievca as Master’s — this is an example of why dievca needs to “switch” modes to submissive.  Growing up with older brothers in a blunt family has taught her to stand up for herself – no problem.)

dievca was polite but emphatic that PT was in her best interests.
(“What f*cking planet are you on?” – was thought but not said.)

she got the script and started this week – her objectives being: getting the quadricep that atrophied to fire, getting the knee swelling down to be fitted for a custom unloader brace,  to be able to walk up and down stairs, to make sure both knees are working effectively.

Look, your dievca is amazing (sometimes) – but a PT will help (a lot).

and how are You?

Years ago, dievca’s Mom had rotator cuff surgery.  The surgeon came out and said that it was much worse than he expected. Basically, he didn’t recognize her pain was legitimate when Mom stated it.

Once upon a time, dievca was an elite athlete.  Her sense of pain or toleration of pain is skewed.  Sometimes, she can’t judge if something is really bad because she’s pushed through the pain for so long. When she went to the orthopedic surgeon dievca was glad that her knee locked up on the examination table – it proved she wasn’t a lunatic.

Apparently, when the surgeon got into her knee to remove the bone chips, he got more than he bargained for with the osteoarthritis of the knee cap and took the extra time to clean it up.

So, was dievca like her Mother and her pain wasn’t taken seriously? Or has dievca been pushing through and couldn’t state her pain clearly because she might have read it wrong?

Anyways, dievca had a good night.  she’s taking the meds as directed – not desperate for them at all. Her leg can straighten, bend and take weight, the pain is in the quad more than the knee at this point.

Master asked her how she felt about the surgery – and she answered, “hopeful”.

OK, enough! dievca’s Mom always said its boring for other people to listen to your ailments~

Let’s switch – How are you?

Running to the Doctor

Knee Dr.

So, do you think they can take an MRI of the Right and Left -Hips, Knees, and Ankles?

Up the Chain and Down the Chain?

Time for a check-up (Blog, Life, BDSM)

Time for  a check-up:
(translation = let dievca talk it out)

BLOG:

dievca’s views for the blog have been down, followers is up – she knew she was “hidden” by WordPress, but when she hasn’t been able to read other great posts and keep up with new bloggers — that limits new connections. Add that blog friends have disappeared: Instagram, death (literally for 3 people), new partners, new focuses, new activities, physical illness, mental illness, family, etc. You get it.

It doesn’t matter – Staying consistent and posting daily is one way dievca finds peace and it is the only way dievca can keep the blog rolling. she knows this because when she stopped her photo blog daily after a year — she never went back to it, though she has the photos. Maybe someday…

LIFE:

You know that Master was very ill. You know that His elderly family members have passed and now dievca’s elderly family members are passing. Her parents are in their 80’s. Master was worried about His young family members. Master is working hard, dievca is working hard. dievca sold a house in the Midwest, she is considering to buy a co-op in NYC, her back went out, etc.

Life got in the way of BDSM for a while.

BDSM:

Master and dievca are still playing. But, it’s not as consistent as the beginning of the blog. Life issues, injuries, sickness, etc. that takes a toll.  Add that dievca and Master have become very close – and that gets in the way, sometimes. But after much trial and error, Master and dievca have found ways to signal that the BDSM needs to take over.

And it is needed.
Master and dievca have had their reaffirmation.

The trust creates a connection unlike any other.

So, Doctor…
do I keep the blog?
will Life get easier?
do I work to continue a BDSM relationship with Master?

XO – let dievca know.
And… a HUGE, THANK YOU, for joining her on this ride.

(dievca can be found on Instagram….nah~)
