You can’t cancel PRIDE – it’s in you.

The NYC Gay Pride March scheduled for June 28, 2020, was canceled due to COVID-19.  The march was inaugurated on June 28, 1970 – it would have been the 50th Year.  There will be virtual celebrations and WABC in New York will be broadcasting NYC Pride programming the month of June.

“We are a community that thrives when we are united,” added Correa. “We may not fill the streets of New York City this year, but LGBTQIA+ people carry pride with them all year long.
I have no doubt that we will be together again soon.”
~ David A. Correa, Interim Executive Director Heritage of Pride

To support Gay Pride, yet

avoid the Dueling Parades….dievca will be heading to the beach on Sunday.

This year what will probably be the biggest queer celebration in New York City history will consist of dueling marches – the gigantic, official annual Pride march with all the celebratory floats, fueled by big business sponsors and a breakaway march designed to be a grassroots protest not only for the cause of civil rights but against the over-corporatization of the main parade. dievca’s friend wants to check out the Gay Pride Parade and then they will head out to Brighton Beach. dievca checked in with Master and he is lying low for the day.

The inexpensive rainbow dress from Amazon is out of the package and ready to be worn. Cheap as chips, but fun.

It’s really warm and humid, so the curly hair is up. Simple make-up. Sunscreen.

A quick change for the Brighton Beach after a couple of hours for the Parade:

And if you are wondering what dievca wore to her Party, last evening:

Hair curly, natural make-up.

Friends came and went, some stayed until beyond Midnight and dievca’s visiting friend, true to her age (20 years younger than d.), – went clubbing at Vandal afterward.

dievca? she went to bed.

What are you doing on your lovely Sunday?

I looked up and saw the rainbow leap with flames of many colors over me.
