Looking for Motivation


It worked~improving a mood.

20211213_203520They always have suggestions for improving a mood and in dievca’s case 6 out of these 34 suggestions worked.

  • De-clutter. Getting organized can help us feel instantly calmer. Just five to ten minutes is enough to tackle a small project, like a desk or the kitchen table.
  • Rearrange some furniture. Changing an environment can help us feel refreshed, enabling us to bust out of a negative mood.
  • Get some sun. A boost of vitamin D can keep the blues at bay. Head outside for a brisk walk around the block. If that’s not possible, station yourself near a window for a few minutes.
  • Spend time with Friends. If you want to be happy and calm, spend time around calm, happy people.
  • Celebrate good times. Look at happy photos or spend a minute or so thinking back on positive memories (that first 5K finish line, a group trip to the waterpark, that amazing scone from a no-name coffee shop)—nostalgia can trigger happiness.
  • Eat for a positive mood. We are what we eat, so step away from the unhappy meal. Instead, try out these meals to boost your mood. Up the happiness quotient by setting a nice place for yourself, lighting a candle, and giving thanks for the meal.

dievca allowed herself to decorate the apartment lightly – she felt less stressed when she decided that she didn’t have to do the full Christmas blowout.  Holiday Hints throughout the apartment has made it feel festive for guests and herself. Having dinner with lovely people completed her mood change.

Gird Your Loins

We are in the midst of the 2021 Holiday Season

  • For the USA – Thanksgivng happened last Thursday,
  • Hanukkah started last night,
  • We pushed through Black Friday
  • Cyber Monday is today
  • Christmas, Kwanzaa and New Year’s are upcoming

That means Holiday Coffee:

dievca wants a black coffee. Keep it simple.

Dress the Part

Dress the  Partdievca has a Navy Blue Silk Dress that makes her feel amazing. Its’s not the most expensive dress nor the most fashionable, but she likes to wear it whenever she needs to clean up and present to humans. she can dress the outfit up or down with shoes/boots and accessories – any way it goes on it – she feels great.

dievca stands taller.

A lot of people argue that what you wear isn’t important, or that it is unfair to suggest that people should buy clothes to boost their self-esteem. If we are being realistic about the working world or IRL, we have to point out the truth: How you present yourself is important. You don’t need to have a closet full of expensive clothes to get ahead, but you will feel a lot better if you have one or two outfits you absolutely love that you can wear whenever you need a pick-me-up.

dievca doesn’t wear the silk dress because it will impress other people — she wears it because it makes her feel ready to take on the world!

Every body is a poem ~

dievca ran into this sweatshirt at H&M in NYC. she agrees with the message.
“Work with what God gave you” and “rock it”, comes to mind.
Maybe the changes in one’s body due to age are the stanzas.
Or maybe one’s body is just a “Work of Art” in progress.
That seems to fit.

Master and dievca were talking about 2020 – it’s been – well you know. Master made the point that there is an end in sight. This follows the idea that Humans can endure many things as long as there is an end in sight, it’s when there is no relief on the horizon that things are seen as hopeless.  dievca repeats – there is an end in sight. BTW, groceries are cheaper.
And two Chinese Food Restaurants were open for delivery/pick-up.
(there are none open by dievca in NYC)
