Harlow and Fox Persephone_Cassiopeia Beaded Gold Robe / Kimono
Please note this item is made to order; please allow up to 8 weeks for your garment to be made for you.
Breathtaking cascades of hand-beaded gold glass trailing fringe beads and pearls drench the body with pure decadence in the Cassiopeia gold beaded robe; with all seams luxuriously bound in gold silk. Worn alone, the sheer tulle beneath offers glimpses of the skin, or pair with either black or almond silk lining robes to create a more opaque finish. The luxurious beaded robe could also be worn over a simple evening dress for a jaw-dropping outerwear look.
The one review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This robe is the most decadent, fabulous thing I own! It’s even more beautiful in person, dripping with strings of glistening gold beads made for twirling.
Fit-wise the size M is the same as the other H&F robes I own. The color of the beads is a lovely soft gold with pearls at the end. The beads are securely sewn on individually to the tulle base. I imagine styling it over both lingerie and as outerwear over a cream jumpsuit for a winter white ensemble for the ballet.
dievca was thinking about Summer and lingerie. Walking on a veranda in bare feet and a light robe. Her mind wandered to fabrics which breathe and are light, such as silk and cotton. She ran into some simple pieces:
But honestly…in the summer, dievca sleeps in the nude.
A robe is a loose-fitting outer garment worn to cover the body. Unlike garments described as capes or cloaks, robes usually have sleeves.
The English word robe derives from Middle English robe (“garment”), borrowed from Old French robe (“booty, spoils”), itself taken from the Frankish word *rouba (“spoils, things stolen, clothes”), and is related to the word rob.
A robe, as lingerie, may be floor-length, knee-length, or shorter, and it is commonly worn over nothing or over a night-clothes, underwear – etc .
- A bathrobe is used when coming out of the bath or shower and is usually made from an absorbing material.
- Whereas a dressing gown is used when getting dressed or lounging around the house.
- The peignoir is a long outer garment for women which is often sheer and made of chiffon or another translucent fabric.
dievca doesn’t own a bathrobe. Master owns two. One of her greatest delights is when Master is finished with His dievca, they take a shower together and Master wraps Himself, then wraps His dievca in His bathrobe. A form of aftercare.
The kimono (着物, きもの)is a traditional Japanese garment. The word “kimono”, which actually means a “thing to wear” (ki “wear” and mono “thing”), has come to denote these full-length robes.
Kimono, is a T-shaped, straight-lined robes worn so that the hem falls to the ankle, with attached collars and long, wide sleeves.
In lingerie terms, Kimonos are robes with the T-shape and wide arms. They can be long or short, wrap around the body and are sometimes tied with a sash or hang loose.
Master’s favorite Kimono for dievca:
Kimonos can be considered intimate or as external clothing items, as well. You could multi-purpose the following pieces for day and for Night:
