and then she gets it right

Back on her home turf – dievca attended that Event that required “Cocktail Attire” The weather was warmer than the fully sequinned velvet dress could handle, but cool enough to handle a velvet corduroy.

So, dievca wore:

  • Sies Marjan Velvet Corduroy Dress
  • Khaite OTK Black Patent Leather Boots
  • BREE Black Patent Leather Clutch
  • Spinelli Kilcollin Ring
  • Justine Clenquet X Opening Ceremony Earrings
  • Zero + Maria Cornejo Black Corduroy Bea Coat
  • Chanel Red Lipstick
  • Simple make-up because of dievca’s slight tan from Miami
  • Straight hair to frame the earrings

dievca felt very comfortable which always allows someone to present better.  It was nice to get out. Oh, yeah – the mask for the Uber:

Judith Leiber Face Masks clear

  • Judith Leiber Grey Swarovski Crystal Mask

A new Desire: Sies Marjan

dievca found a new clothing Designer to admire:

The cut, fabric fluidity, draping, texture, shine and color palette all appealed to her. And having the books in the background helped her imagine presenting for Master.

Gorgeous.

A former designer for Dries van Noten, Sander Lak made his New York debut with Sies Marjan last February, and it was an instant hit. His look is a weird blend of eclectic traveller with a dose of 1990s skater girl, all done in pastel brights, that somehow totally works. Expect to see his pieces on the most photographed editors this season.
