Basket weaving 101 with MUUÑ

20220430_171134

dievca took a photo of her new MUUÑ basket bag – its measurements are length: 20 cm / width: 10 cm / height: 14 cm. Very adorable and ladylike for summer.  dievca started playing with effects on her new phone and ended up saving the photo with the effect above and losing the original photo (it’s the user, not the phone…)

Anyways, this French Brand is trying to do good in the World by creating a sustainable bag, handmade and utilizing an underrepresented workforce.  A lovely piece for Summer (photo below).

The straw base is hand-weaved with resistant elephant grass, taking 2 or 3 days of work.
. This bag is finished and assembled in our workshop in France.
. The inside pouch is sewed by people with disabilities working for ISTA.
As MUUÑ bags are handmade products, variations in shape or size may happen.

How does clothing promote wellness? That is the central consideration of KES new mini collection of organically-dyed silk garments.

In addition to being luxuriously soft, natural silks boost our health and beauty by relieving irritation, reducing allergens, and keeping moisture close to the skin to create an effortless, youthful glow.

Similarly, organic dyes are historically thought to have healing properties that enhance our overall well-being. Natural dyes are anti-microbial, non-toxic, and non-allergenic. They also offer skin moisturizing, anti-aging, and UV-protective properties.

For centuries, organic dyes have been used to imbue garments with rich, earthy hues. These natural tones are an essential element of our collective ecological and cultural history. Because of their natural derivation, organic dyes are inherently pleasing to the eye, complement every skin tone, and evoke within us a deep connection to the earth.

Something to keep yourself and your Sir/ Madame healthy~
