Feeling Cozy
Posted: November 24, 2019 Filed under: Accessories, Fashion | Tags: BDSM, D/s, dievca, down coats, Hats, Life, Love, mittens, Scarves, Shopping, submissive, sweaters, Winter Leave a commentThe Thanksgiving Holiday is running late this year and that makes the ramp-up to Christmas/Hanukkah very short. With Global Warming in NYC, the whole of Autumn has disappeared. Some good news is that if you haven’t bought your cool weather gear, yet, you can do so with the Black Friday sales in your favor!
Here’s what dievca has been watching:
-
- Diamond Quilted Down Coats
- Cashmere Mittens
- Chunky Hats
- Cashmere Scarves
- Cashmere Sweaters
Click on the Gallery Photo to find the designer name:
dievca bought:
Max Mara Camel Cashmere and Wool Reversible Sweater $795 on sale $330
Missoni Orange Label 100% Cashmere Sweater $800 on sale for $70 with repairs needed.
Garnet Hill 100% Cashmere chunky Sweater in Port Wine $299 on sale for $209
Donna Karan New York Reversible Down Puffer Coat $450 on sale for $160
Modal and Cashmere unbranded lightweight scarf $149 on sale for $80
On a side note: dievca has taken 33 sweaters to resale or Goodwill, 5 scarves, 3 hats, 4 pairs of mittens/gloves, and 4 down coats/jackets. You may be astounded by the numbers, but the lot was from years of collection and were well-loved and used. The replacement pieces are less in number and classics that will last.
Yes, friends and Master are astounded by dievca’s closet.
Some Girls are bigger than Others: A Woman Scorned
Posted: October 8, 2017 Filed under: Clothing, Entertainment | Tags: BDSM, Clothing, D/s, dievca, fashion, Fetish, Hades, Life, Presentation Outfits, Shopping, Slave, submissive, sweaters 4 CommentsHell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Or at least not asked if their names can be used….
HADES: Some Girls are bigger than Others Collection, pissed them off.
The collection gained it’s title ‘Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others’ after The Smiths’ track from 1986, the offering celebrated, according to its maker, punk, indie and post-punk music in well-crafted Scottish lambs wool. Confined to just four styles – “they’re bands I love” – Cassie Holland (the creator).
Feedback from the people working with the Artists and the Bands themselves:
“Patti Smith has refused the licensing requests we’ve reviewed and I’m pretty certain she would not grant permission to Ms Holland to produce the products.
“I think Patti Smith’s control of her own name is her right and Cassie Holland has no right to capitalise.” Bill Mooney representative of Patti Smith and Sonic Youth
Note: Marc Jacobs went through the proper channels to use the Sonic Youth name in the past. And Bill Mooney was planning to serve a “Cease and Desist” Order to the company.
Viv Albertine, of all-girl punk band The Slits, said while she thought the jumpers with coloured stitching are a “nice tribute”, she is considering a legal response.
“We don’t want to bring a small company down. But it’s a matter of courtesy and we would at least expect some jumpers.”

It’s a new collection at Hades and no signs of any Legal Hassles –

Mind you, she has more than enough and she is trying to streamline her closets…
Here’s what happened so far~
dievca sold these items:

Boxy Denim Parka Jacket Marques’Almeida X Topshop

Elizabeth and James Monica Knit fur Hoodie

TEXTILE Elizabeth and James Gregory Pullover

Isabel Marant Acebo Knit Fur Jacket
To buy this:

ARMY Yves Salomon fur-lined coat parka (her’s is khaki green)
Now, please realize that she still has these:

But she is still looking at these:

to laugh in one’s sleeve~
Posted: March 4, 2016 Filed under: Clothing, Fashion | Tags: BDSM, D/s, dievca, Elegant, fashion, Shopping, sleeve style, submissive, sweaters 8 Commentsdievca was admiring a “bell sleeved” sweater from Mishoo Nonoo
and got to thinking about being creative with the design of sleeves.
Sleeves can be sexy, innocent, strange and familiar.
They add expression to an outfit.
Sleeve (O. Eng. slieve, or slyf, a word allied to slip, cf. Dutch sloof) is the part of a garment that covers the arm, or through which the arm passes or slips. The pattern of the sleeve is one of the characteristics of fashion in dress, varying in every country and period. Various survivals of the early forms of sleeve are still found in the different types of academic or other robes. Where the long hanging sleeve is worn it has, as still in China and Japan, been used as a pocket, whence has come the phrase to have up one’s sleeve, to have something concealed ready to produce. There are many other proverbial and metaphorical expressions associated with the sleeve, such as to wear one’s heart upon one’s sleeve, and to laugh in one’s sleeve.
Sleeve length varies from barely over the shoulder (cap sleeve) to floor-length. Most contemporary shirt sleeves end somewhere between the mid-upper arm and the wrist.

And the type of sweater sleeve that dievca was looking at:
And as a strange side note….if you don’t like the “bat wings” on your arms….slimming sleeves:
