Nobody knows,
Where the wind comes from,
Where the wind goes.
It’s flying from somewhere
As fast as it can,
I couldn’t keep up with it,
Not if I ran.
But if I stopped holding
The string of my kite,
It would blow with the wind
For a day and a night.
And then when I found it,
Wherever it blew,
I should know that the wind
Had been going there too.
So then I could tell them
Where the wind goes…
But where the wind comes from
Nobody knows.

Poncho as a kite ~ cycling in NYC

The remnants of Hurricane Ian drifted past NYC to create a surge of wind and rain. It just happened to be directly against dievca’s cycling path and she was wearing a Hunter Rain Poncho — no, actually she was wearing a kite to catch the wind. No matter how dievca tried to grab it, the poncho filled with wind. It was a long slow slog.
This young lady (above) was very happy – dievca was very unhappy.
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

The good news is that the rain droplets are too large to do the same…
In the morning aftermath, she is getting cozy with her coffee.

The ferry ride to Governors Island.

A moment in the peaceful part of the storm rotation. Staten Island Ferry always running.

The morning after – clear and windy. Military planes taking a morning jaunt. Small craft advisory until 11 am. Container ships collected and anchored by Bayonne NJ.
It was an interesting evening, Glamping in the wind. Governors Island
You could hear the rotational ramp-up of the winds, a die down and then another pass. This morning?
The calm after the storm.

Yikes! Rooftops in NYC are really windy and it’s not safe to have crystal wineglasses get knocked over or break on the concrete.
Tossware is a brand of reusable, recyclable crystal clear plastic-ware which is elegant for parties where traditional crystal is not a smart idea.
dievca found it very elegant to use, it washes well and stacks/stores easily for the cupboard or storage unit.
Excellent for a NYC apartment building and just as good for the Suburbia Football Saturdays grilling out on the patio.
dievca bought her Tossware on Amazon.

You can even go on to the Tossware site and get pieces made for your event or use their fun graphics:
