All is connected

Her friend’s Mother passed and the friend lives in CA, so an extra set of hands/brain was needed. The wake, Mass, burial went well – but dievca had to dress like a “waiter” because she needed to schlep out to Queens and stand for longer amounts of time (hence the sneakers rather than ballet flats or loafers). The Ferragamo scarf was a nod to her friend’s Chinese heritage, dievca had never seen someone move so fast through Chinatown NYC as a her friend’s Mother on a mission for Dim Sum.
The birds were painted on a highway underpass which dievca walked through to get to the Funeral Home and Church. A lovely reminder of Life in a stark setting that ALL is connected.
The MetroCard is what made it easy for dievca to get out of Manhattan – it’s also the number of the machine that sucked up dievca’s $20 bill and didn’t put the value on the card. The MTA employee was not really enthusiastic to help dievca – which is typical NYC.
All is connected indeed … today, it’s Mother’s Day in France. Sending my heartfelt condolences to your friend. You’re an amazing friend for supporting her (stylishly 😉). 💜
